Check out this book, Confessions of an Eco-Redneck:  Or, How I learned to Gut-Shoot Trout and Save the Wilderness at the Same Time, by Steve Chapple.  What would Guha say?

Did you mean to leave a link that we could follow or should we just look for it on our own?

You know, I've actually found that a lot of people that can be labeled 'Redneck' are actually really into better management of our natural resources, especially pertaining to maintaining healthy animal populations. Most hunters that I know (most of the rednecks I know hunt) are really into preserving habitat for the animals that they hunt, as well as the animals which affect them (which is generally everything). It's a little funny, because 'tree-hugger' and 'redneck' are not generally used synonymously. :D
