Blog del Narco
A colleague told me about this blog: http://www.elblogdelnarco.com/ . It is a "clandestine" blog about the narco wars and keeps track of viewers (see box on right side of screen).
This is really neat! It's nice to be able to see the opinions of real people (outside of our class) concerning the narco wars. It's extremely informative...and the fact that it keep up with all of the viewers and, at the same time, has an area where the viewers can chat with each other, is really cool.
Yeah I think this website gives a good broad overview and details about the main players of the Mexican Drug War. Also it talks about the Sicarios. A sicario is hired assasin or hitman who is paid money for killing. I watched this one movie called "La Virgen de los Sicarios", that was staged in Colombia in the early 90's when all of that crazy drug stuff was really out of control. It was about a young boy (around 16) who went around downtown Medillin killing people for what seemed to me as no reason. He met an older man (in 40's) with whom he had sexual relations and got nice materialistic things from. Its funny that nearly every day the two would go to church and the boy "Alexis" would pray to the local virgen for protect for the killings he was doing and so on. Great book and movie. You guys should check it out.
Esta pagina es muy informativa pero a mi en lo personal se me hace un poco peligroso seguir ese tipo de blogs. Pero puede ser un buen lugar para buscar informacion a cerca del narcotrafico de drogas.
Yo he estado a Colon, Panamá. Yo y otros soldados fuimos atrás el istmo desde Panamá por tren pero cuando fue el tiempo a regresar, estábamos todavía en la base. El próximo tren a Panamá fue por la mañana. Entonces, teníamos que viajar por autobús. La estación de autobuses estaba en el centro de Colon. Colon tiene una reputación muy peligrosa para soldados norteamericanos. Cuando llegamos al centro por taxi, el agente en la estación nos dijo que no van afuera de la estación. El se preocupaba mucho que unos panameños nos atacarían. Sin Embargo, el viaja a Panamá fue lo que me dio miedo. El chofer no manejo como si estuviera en una pista de carreras. Panamá en general es un país bastante tranquillo pero hay partes que no se puede viajar los norteamericanos.
