Chavez is progably right that another war is brewing in the middle-east, however, it has nothing to do with Libya's oil. This current conflict which began as a response to the 911 attack by Al-Quaeda, a non-state terrorist organization, has slowly become a war against state terrorism.
Iran and Syria and their Hezbollah and Hamas surrogates are the world's foremost state terrorists, feared by their neighbors in the Arabian penninsula and the other moderate nations of the Persian gulf. Any senario is possible but if Iran's Mullahs are threatened by a dissident movement they may very well launch a strike on Jerusalem hoping to galvanize enough support at home to save their elusive hold on power.
